"WHERE COMMUNITY MEETS COMPETITION!"
An annual calendar of competitions at our club and other major events in NSW and Australia is provided to each member. The calendar also includes scheduled social activities and training days where arranged.
Our club members have two main playing days:
On Saturday afternoons, commencing at approximately 1:00pm, organised competitions of triples, doubles or singles are arranged on the day, through male, female or mixed random draws. This is dictated by the calendar which outlines the competition for that day.
A nominal competition entry fee of $5 is charged each Saturday and this helps fund the annual presentation day and other club initiatives.
The weekly competitions run for about 36 weeks over the year and are broken into three competition ‘seasons’.
Winners of these Saturday afternoon events are rewarded at the end of year presentation with a Saturday winners’ prize, such as a club shirt, vest, bag, or umbrella.
Season winners are also rewarded as are the Men’s and Ladies Club Champions.
Wednesday afternoons, commencing around 1:00pm, is for social and practice games which are organised by those members able to attend on the day.
In addition, there are five Club Championships and a few other competitions conducted on Sundays throughout the year commencing at 9:00am and running until about 5:00pm.
Members, as well as the general public, are welcome to use the pistes on other days.
Various social activities are organised throughout the year including dinners at a local venue, car rallies, as well as club picnics and social pétanque at places such as the vineyards and in parks.
