Membership

To play at the Club in the various competition and social days, a player must be licensed with the National body and a member of the Club. Membership of the Club is open to anyone subject to acceptance by the Club Management Committee. We have yet to reject an applicant.

Full Member’s fees are made up of two charges annually:

• Newcastle Pétanque Club charges $10.00 per annum for membership of the club which entitles you to use the facilities, enjoy the fellowship of the members and access the club and facilities outside of regular times subject to approval of the club committee.

• A Pétanque Australia (PA) License Fee for national registration, administration, public liability and travel insurance coverage for the sport and its affiliated members. This fee is sent directly to Pétanque Australia and does not form part of the club income. The fee and the categories of license may be subject to annual change.

Juniors (under 18 years) pay a lesser fee both for Newcastle Pétanque Club ($5.00pa) and for PA.

Registrations are renewed each year by 30 June.
